As an extension of the current Metropolitan Trail exhibition at Mucem we are pleased to announce today the birth of the academy of metropolitan trails. Launched by a network of European partners, the academy of metropolitan trails launches in Spring 2020 a new cycle of training in 5 cities across Europe. InspiralLondon MTA Bursary:
To apply for the bursary please send a statement of maximum 500 words to contact@inspirallondon.com (website, online profile and/or current cv can be usefully appended to application) – that sets out: your interest in being part of this unique academy programme; why you might need financial assistance to allow you to take part; how you see the experience enhancing intercultural exchange across a changing European landscape. Deadline for applications was December 10th 2019 with award made before Xmas 2019.
The £500 bursary will be paid in two parts – initial 50% on being accepted for MTA programme, the following 50% on your taking part in and completing at least 3 city modules with the expectation that you will contribute to the other 2 modules (remotely or if possible in person). The bursary is designed to help potential UK based participant to take part in the programme – to support travel and accommodation costs – Academy Workshop programme is free (sponsored by Metropolitan Trail International). You will need to complete a brief feedback report on your experiences; outlining how sharing knowledge with Trail Designers, artists and other invited participants has enriched your understanding of your own and others practice such as Walking Art, City Design or urban ecology.
