In/spiral Rewalk – Segment 21 in hunting and in gathering the spiral

We meet at Eltham Station at 2pm to walk gently northwards towards Severndroog Castle by Oxleas Wood, before descending toward Woolwich Common. Along the way we will be invited by associate artists to collect and gather natural materials found along the pathway to add to the collective spiral drawing that will take place when we reach the Thames at Woolwich.

The walk is scheduled to arrive at Woolwich around 5pm and for those staying for the ritual spiral drawing walk we will have time for refreshments before rejoining with artists Birgitta Hosea, Gail Dickerson and Sarah Sparkes; for the ritual spiral drawing at 6pm (exit of Arsenal Woolwich Elisabeth line). From here we will detour to the buried site of London’s greatest Celtic oppida to form a first spiral.
