Retellings First walk: Ghosting Inspiral starts promptly at Mottingham Station at 10.30 am (Walk 10.30am-1pm) to follow a ghost path along Inspirallondon trail toward Eltham station. This walk retracing the InspiralLondon footway offers readings, guided interventions and a set of mini-detours to explore the traces of other lives buried in the urban landscape. This walk the first intocductory part of a day of walks that celebrates Black Lives – unique reclaimed stories and hidden histories – located in Greenwich’s diverse landscape. On these walking tours you will experience and celebrate unexplored Black History and culture hidden in Greenwich’s historic building, its ghost traces, found buried in the cityscape.
For this walk we pass along King John’s Way to arrive at the end of the morning near to Eltham Palace. Taking time along the way to admire the views, share readings and local stories before stopping for a picnic lunch with refreshments at around 1pm. Please Book HERE
Note: For all todays walking you are advised to bring water, wear sensible clothes and comfortable walking shoes or boots. Some refreshments will be provided but if you are planning to stay with the walks in the afternoon please bring something for a picnic.
